We verified two ten-question sets, with the same underlying questions appearing in the Years 5–6 and Years 7–8 selections. This review did not verify a publicly released complete 2026 AJMO paper.
Open the sample link on AMT’s AJMO page, select the child’s year group in Problemo’s Discovery Series, choose an AJMO sample set, and press GO. We followed this route on 14 October 2026 and read both complete sets. The links below preserve the year and collection context, so parents can return to the relevant list instead of hunting through unrelated papers.
| Year selection | First official set | Second official set |
|---|---|---|
| Years 5–6 | AJMO Sample 1 | AJMO Sample 2 |
| Years 7–8 | AJMO Sample 1 | AJMO Sample 2 |
Each set contains ten questions. The corresponding year selections share the underlying problem IDs: this is twenty unique sample questions, not forty different questions or four separate past papers. The materials are samples, rather than a prediction of the next paper. A difficult item in a sample set is a prompt for learning, not a stand-alone judgement about a child.
This review checked the public AMT competition page, its past-paper archive, the official sample collections, and focused searches across other websites and indexed forums. We did not verify a complete publicly released national AJMO 2026 paper. That is a finding about this search, not proof that no authorised copy exists. Ask the competition coordinator about the material attached to your child’s result.
Before treating a file as a past paper, check its title, organiser, sitting year and source. A headline containing “Junior Olympiad” does not identify AJMO. A forum request for a paper is also not evidence that the linked file is the right competition. Our worked lessons use original examples, clearly labelled, and do not pretend to reproduce this year’s questions.
| Resource | Useful for | Keep the label clear |
|---|---|---|
| AMT Upper Primary AMC practice PDF | Years 5–6 problem-solving foundations | Published 2019 practice material; not AJMO 2026 |
| AMT Junior AMC practice PDF | Years 7–8 competition technique | Published 2019 practice material; not an AJMO mock |
| AMT AIMO 2024 collection | Inspecting the harder challenge | An AIMO past-paper collection |
| AMT AIMO 2017 paper and solutions | Studying longer arguments and solutions | Historical AIMO material, not an AJMO paper |
Choose a resource because it practises a skill the child needs. For example, an AMC geometry problem can build a useful diagram technique, while an AIMO solution can show what a fully explained argument looks like. Neither becomes an AJMO past paper merely because the method transfers.
Choose two problems first. Let the child attempt each without naming the method for them. Record the first representation they tried, where the idea stopped, and what they checked. Then study the available explanation and try a fresh problem with a changed condition. Keep an error log by skill rather than only by question number.
Our sample-practice routine explains that process. For targeted teaching, use the geometry, counting and number-restriction guides in this series. A small number of well-reviewed problems gives parents more information than a large pile of downloads with no record of independent reasoning.

The collections are labelled as sample materials. This review did not verify them as the complete 2026 sitting paper.
Use the official Years 5–6 selection first, attempt a small number independently, and choose the next topic from the child’s work.
They can practise related skills when the level is suitable. Keep their competition and year labels clear and do not treat them as AJMO past papers.
