The Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO) is scheduled for Thursday 10 September 2026, with entries closing Friday 4 September 2026. It is a single paper for students in Years 7 to 10.
In 2026 a Year 7 student can sit the Junior Science Olympiad Years 7-8 Exam (12 June), the Big Science Competition (4-15 May, Years 7-10), the RACI International Chemistry Quiz (3-7 August, secondary students) and ICAS Science (17-21 August).
The 2026 Australian Science Olympiad Exams run 27-30 July 2026 for students in Years 9-12, covering biology, chemistry, physics and Earth and environmental science. They are run by Australian Science Innovations.
The main 2026 computing competitions are Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT, 19-21 May, no coding required), the Raspberry Pi Foundation Coding Challenge (16-18 June) and the Australian Informatics Olympiad (AIO, 27 August, real programming).
